OXFORD City dropped into the Vanarama National League North relegation zone after their 1-1 draw at Alfreton Town.
The Hoops took the lead with just 10 minutes on the clock, as Zac McEachran wriggled away from his marker and fired in from the edge of the penalty area.
City could’ve doubled their advantage in the second half when a long throw-in found its way to Josh Parker, whose effort bounced off the post and away to safety.

However, with 10 minutes to go, the Hoops were reduced to 10 men as Jalen Jones was shown a second yellow card for an unfortunate handball, and with a booking picked up for kicking the ball away in the first half, he was given his marching orders.

From the handball incident, Jed Abbey’s free kick smashed the top of the crossbar.
After surviving that scare, City conceded a leveller with six minutes left, as George Cantrill found the top corner from the edge of the penalty box.
The draw saw the Hoops drop into the National League North relegation zone on goal difference behind Needham Market.
City have games in hand though on the teams around them, and must make them count, beginning with the trip to 13th-placed South Shields on Tuesday night.
