Miami's Cam Ward is still the favorite to be chosen first in the 2025 NFL Draft.
But according to expert insight from Rob Rang, Penn State's Abdul Carter could hear his name called first.
Let's take a look at the odds to be the first pick in the 2025 draft at FanDuel Sportsbook as of March 4.
2025 NFL DRAFT NO. 1 PICK ODDS:

Cam Ward, Miami: -220 (bet $10 to win $14.55 total)
Abdul Carter, Penn State: +200 (bet $10 to win $30 total)
Travis Hunter, Colorado: +1100 (bet $10 to win $120 total)
Shedeur Sanders, Colorado: +1300 (bet $10 to win $140 total)
Hurricanes' quarterback Cam Ward moved to -220 from -130 over the last week and from +750 since the end of November.
At the NFL combine, which was held Feb. 27 through Mar. 2 in Indianapolis, Cam Ward told reporters that he would be "plug and play" if he got drafted to Tennessee. The Titans have the first pick in next month's draft.
Second on the board is the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and 2024 unanimous All-American Abdul Carter.
He moved to +200 from +150 over the last week.
According to comments that Carter made after the Eagles defeated the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, he thinks he should be the first pick.
In the big game, Philly forced Patrick Mahomes into two interceptions — including a pick-six — and also forced two fumbles by the Chiefs, one of which the Eagles recovered. Additionally, the Eagles sacked Mahomes six times on the day.
To Carter's point, defense certainly had something to do with this championship.
And for bettors deciding where to put their money in this market, here's some context that could be helpful. FOX Sports NFL Draft analyst Rob Rang has Carter going first to the Titans in his most recent mock draft.
"It was notably Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker … who recently shared the opinion that the Titans would not pass up a ‘generational talent’ to force a quarterback at No. 1.
"Carter is one of a handful of true blue-chip prospects in this class, offering an exceptional upside at a premium position. Carter has 10-plus sack potential as a rookie."
