One of the biggest racing events worldwide is underway at Aintree. The 4 pm Grand National race is finally here after days of anticipation, atmosphere and, of course, amazing outfits.

There are 34 contenders hoping to walk away today, Saturday, April 5, as the winner. 2024 Grand National winner I am Maximus is defending his title and is among the favourites once again to win.

The Willie Mullins-trained horse, owned by JP McManus, sprinted clear on the run-in in last year's Grand National, eventually coming home a comfortable seven-and-a-half-length winner. The eight-year-old gelding, owned by JP McManus, has been tipped at 22/1 by Betway.

However, it was Nick Rockett who walked away as the winner. I am Maximus came in second. Of the 34 runners that began the world-famous steeple chase, over a distance of four miles and two-and-a-half furlongs at Aintree, not all managed to complete it.
