Wales' Six Nations campaign ended in sheer humilation as they were thrashed 68-14 by England in Cardiff.
A day that began with optimism that a torrid run of defeats may finally come to an end soon descended into disaster as Matt Sherratt's men were blown away by the visitors, who ran in 10 tries to inflict their heaviest ever defeat on a Welsh side.
The brutal loss means that Wales pick up the wooden spoon for a second successive year, having now gone two years since a win in the championship. Their losing run now stands at 17 consecutive Test matches and stretches all the way back to the 2023 World Cup, while they end the tournament ranked 12th in the world, marginally ahead of their summer opponents Japan in 13th.

There have been a lot of dark days in Welsh rugby in recent times, but today was the darkest yet - and one man summed it all up as he was caught on camera looking just like how many of us felt.
As England ran in their 10th and final try with the clock in the red, the BBC's cameras cut to inside the corridors of the Principality Stadium and caught scrum coach Adam Jones' true reaction to the historic defeat.
Leaning against a wall and staring off into the distance, the disappointment was written on the three-time Welsh Grand Slam winner's face. Having seen so much success as a player, he must have been wondering how it all went so wrong.
For many viewers watching at home, the shot struck a chord as the man known as 'Bomb' inadvertently summed up the feelings of the entire nation.
"Adam Jones is all of us right now," wrote one viewer, while another added: "He looks absolutely shell shocked. How does this get fixed?".
"I feel exactly like you Adam Jones!," said a third. "I've got no polite words to say after watching that."
"Adam Jones channelling the nation," wrote another, while one viewer said: "The face of Adam Jones says it all."
The humiliating defeat to England was a sad end to Jones' secondment with Wales, with the Harlequins coach now returning to the Premiership club for the final games of the season.
