Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal has reportedly offered Virgil van Dijk a contract worth $22 million net per year.

As things stand, the Dutchman, who turns 34 in July, will become a free agent at the end of this season, and he said after Liverpool's Champions League elimination at the hands of PSG that he had not yet made a decision on his future.

It is reported that Van Dijk is considering the move to Al-Hilal but has not responded to the offer, instead preferring to focus on Liverpool's remaining fixtures in the season.

It is suggested by L'Equipe that Al-Hilal is "highly ambitious" ahead of its participation in this summer's Club World Cup, which will take place in the United States.

Speaking after Liverpool's loss to PSG, Van Dijk said: "I still have no idea [about my future] at the moment. Genuinely, I have no idea. It is not on hold. Nothing is on hold. I keep saying the same thing. There are 10 games to go and that is my full focus.

"If there is news, you guys will know it. I don’t even know myself. Everyone knows there are some conversations behind the scenes, but that is about it. At the moment, I don’t even know what will happen next year. If anyone says they do know, they are lying to your face."

Meanwhile, a report by Caught Offside said that Liverpool has five Premier League players at the top of its summer transfer wishlist.

Newcastle trio Alexander Isak, Anthony Gordon and Lewis Hall are among them, as are Joao Pedro of Brighton and Wolves' Matheus Cunha. It is claimed that Liverpool is planning for a "big summer" after two fairly inactive windows, last summer and in the January just gone.

Liverpool reportedly accepts that signing all of the aforementioned three Newcastle players will be virtually impossible, which is why Cunha and Pedro have been identified as alternatives to Isak.

Cunha will almost certainly leave Wolves this summer, having signed a new contract earlier this year on the condition that he would be allowed to leave were his release clause to be met.
