Arsenal vs PSV LIVE

With a 7-1 lead heading into tonight’s Champions League last-16 second leg, Arsenal are overwhelming favourites to eliminate PSV Eindhoven and set up a quarter-final tie against either Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid. Barring an unlikely collapse in north London, the Gunners will be going to the Spanish capital next month as they look to win the competition for the first time.

Mikel Arteta has demanded professionalism from his players, though last week’s absolutely ruthless performance means the Arsenal boss has earned the right to rotate where he sees fit. As a result, the likes of Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Declan Rice and Ethan Nwaneri could all be rested with Jakub Kiwior, Jorginho and Raheem Sterling handed rare starts.

PSV require a minor miracle to advance, but in truth, their target is to give a better account for themselves after what happened in Eindhoven and come into the tie on the back of a much needed victory at the weekend. Arsenal team news: Sterling to start?

Arsenal could hand Raheem Sterling a rare start tonight.

The winger has struggled for chances since joining Arsenal on loan from Chelsea last summer and was an unused substitute during the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at the weekend.

However, Sterling may come into the team as Mikel Arteta is expected to make changes. Gabriel Martinelli is also in line to start as he continues his comeback from a hamstring injury.
