Mohamed Salah has shared what is motivating him during what could be his final few months as a Liverpool player.

The Egyptian, who is out of contract in June, claimed back in January that this would be his 'final' year at Anfield. But 30 goals and 22 assists later in what is arguably his best ever season, uncertainty is growing.

Liverpool are currently fighting on three fronts - the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and Carabao Cup. But one of them in particular is the driving force during Salah's swansong.

The 32-year-old has claimed he wants to win the English top flight more than anything just so he can celebrate with supporters. Something he was unable to do when the Reds tasted gold in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Talking to " target="_blank" class="link"> Optus Sport, Salah said: "The biggest motivation is to win the Premier League, not even the Champions League. I always say Champions League, for seven years I said the Champions League, this is the first year I say the Premier League.

"I just want to win the Premier League with the city and the fans to experience that day with them to go and parade in the city. It's going to be incredible."

The Reds are in a great position to win the Premier League this season as they sit pretty right at the top of the table, 13 points ahead of Arsenal. With a Carabao Cup final against Newcastle on the horizon, and a Last 16 tie against PSG to look forward to, if this is to be Salah's last season on Merseyside - he will go out with a bang.

Salah is free to talk to foreign clubs right now but his focus remains on Liverpool's season. According to Telefoot, Salah's representatives are not in talks with any other clubs, even though they would be permitted to.

The options are limited, though, assuming that he wouldn't join a Premier League rival. Real Madrid is well-stocked in attack, Barcelona is strapped for cash and already has Lamine Yamal, and PSG is now focusing on younger talents.
