A new but familiar retro design is being suggested as Manchester United's away kit for next season. The photos of the alleged new strip may give a glimpse of what fans can expect months before any official announcements are made.
According to the leaked information provided by Footy Headlines, Adidas has taken inspiration from the club's iconic 'snowflake' design that made waves after appearing as the 1990-92 away kit and is still worn by many supporters today.
The new away kit takes the sharp 'snowflake' pattern and enlarges it to just showcase a handful of the sharp edges. The design will be mainly white but in a new colour for a United kit, with lavender and dark plum accents, with the shorts also thought to be purple.

The club has only ever used purple for goalkeeper shirts, so if the leak is real, it will mark a first for the outfield players.
Adidas will once again make the kit after extending its deal with the club in July 2023, with a new deal leading them to be responsible for producing the kits until 2035 in a record-breaking deal worth £900 million a £200 million increase on their previous deal.
Adidas has used the snowflake design on three of the club's recent kits, most prominently on its 17-18 away kit, where it matched the old 90s design but in a black and grey accent instead.
The shirt will also include an overlapping v-shaped collar with plum accents while also switching out the classic United crest for the more modern minimalist devil logo found on this season's third kit.
For fans eager to make a purchase, they may have to wait some time before the official announcement. Most Premier League clubs tend to reveal their home shirts first just after the season ends in the summer, with the official away shirt expected in the weeks that follow.
