Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was fined $35,000 by the NBA on Saturday for failing to leave the court and tossing a ball into the stands when he was ejected from a game on Thursday.

Edwards' sixth fine of the season brings the total of penalties levied against him to $320,000.

He's been punished for various offenses, including foul language during media interviews and an obscene gesture on court.

On Thursday, he was ejected from the Timberwolves' loss to the Los Angeles Lakers after receiving his second technical foul of the contest for jawing with a referee.

He and Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt had each received a technical foul earlier in the game when they traded shoves.

Those two technical fouls brought Edwards's total to 16 for the season, resulting in an automatic one-game suspension that he served on Friday, when Minnesota lost to the Utah Jazz.

Every two additional technicals will see increased suspensions.

"He’s got to be better," Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said this week. "He's had too many outbursts. I think a lot of them are deserved. They're going to miss some calls from time to time for sure, so he’s got to be better, and we’ve been talking to him about it. So it’s on him."
