Chick-fil-A first introduced the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich in 2017 — a chicken filet topped with bacon coated in brown sugar and black pepper, Colby Jack cheese, lettuce, and BBQ sauce, all tucked into a toasted sweet yeast bun.
"Ten years ago, we created the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich to highlight the delicious grilled flavors our guests know and love. We’re thrilled it’s making a comeback — this time elevated with even more delicious customizations for everyone to enjoy this spring,” says Chick-fil-A chef Christy Cook who first developed the sandwich.
For whatever reason, it disappeared from the rotating seasonal menu in 2022, much to the disappointment of many fans. This time, it's back with three options: Original, Spicy, or Grilled Chicken.
