2025 college basketball transfer portal tracker: Miami adds Tre Donaldson from Michigan - Iqraa news

The college basketball transfer portal is open for business as of March 24, one day after the Round of 32 ended. As a result, there have been players on NCAA Tournament teams who've entered the portal. It'll remain open until April 22.

Let's take a look at the top players in the portal and transfer moves so far this offseason:

April 3

Michigan G Tre Donaldson transfers to Miami

Donaldson will play at his third school in three seasons after electing to play his senior year at the University of Miami. Donaldson had a quality junior campaign, averaging 11.6 points and 4.2 assists per game, in a complementary role to Wolverines' stars Vladislav Goldin and Danny Wolf. The Hurricanes are coming off their lowest-winning season since 1994, but have now added Malik Reneau and Donaldson in consecutive days as they try to author a turnaround.

UCLA G Dylan Andrews transfers to Boise State

Andrews will finish out his college career with the Broncos after playing three seasons with the Bruins. He had a down year in 2024-25, averaging under 7.1 points per game after being at 13 in the season prior. He's a high-IQ point-guard who will impact the game immediately for Boise State.

April 2

Xavier G Ryan Conwell transfers to Louisville

Conwell will play for his fourth school in four seasons after announcing his decision to transfer from Xavier to Louisville for his senior year. This season, Comwell averaged 16.8 points per game, the sixth most of any player in the Big East. By adding Conwell, along with Kennessaw State transfer Adrian Wooley, Virginia transfer Isaac McKneely and 5-star recruit Mikel Brown Jr., Cardinals' coach Pat Kelsey has replenished his backcourt after Chucky Hepburn, J'Vonne Hadley, Terrance Edwards and Reyne Smith graduated.

Indiana F Malik Reneau transfers to Miami

After spending the first three seasons of his collegiate career in Bloomington, Reneau is off to South Florida. This season, Reneau averaged 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per contest. He joins a Miami program entering its first season with Jai Lucas, who was an assistant coach at Duke the past three seasons, as its head coach.

April 1

Illinois F Morez Johnson transfers to Michigan

After one season in Champaign, Johnson will be spending his sophomore season in Ann Arbor with the Wolverines. On an Illinois team that claimed a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament before being eliminated in the second round, Johnson averaged seven points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in just 17.6 minutes per game.

Xavier F Dailyn Swain transfers to Texas

"You … you're coming with me!" That's what former Xavier head coach Sean Miller told Swain when he left the Musketeers for the Longhorns, and the latter has now indeed transferred to Texas. Last season, Swain, a sophomore, averaged 11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game, while shooting 53.2% from the field.
