Manchester City star Erling Haaland couldn't resist aiming another dig at Arsenal following their surprise defeat at home to West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners missed the chance to apply pressure on Premier League leaders, Liverpool, after Jarrod Bowen's strike was enough for Graham Potter to get one over on Mikel Arteta. Young talent Myles Lewis-Skelly was also shown a red card during that meeting at the Emirates Stadium after a professional foul in the second half.

As a result, the Anfield club's lead at the summit remains at eight points ahead of their impending showdown with City at the Etihad Stadium today (Sunday). Arsenal inflicted a heavy defeat on Pep Guardiola's side at the beginning of February as their feud reached new heights following a series of squabbles in recent meetings.

Haaland was often the target for the jibes after his interaction with Arteta following the dramatic 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture. Following City's defeat earlier this month, Lewis-Skelly mimicked the Norway forward's meditation celebration after finding the target, while Arsenal played Kendrick Lamar's hit 'Humble' at full-time.

However, Hammers supporters were keen to stick the boot in after getting one over on their London rivals for the second time in as many seasons. In a post shared by City fan account, City Xtra, two West Ham fans were pictured doing the Haaland-like celebration.

And it caught the attention of the Premier League 'Golden Boot'-chaser - as he 'liked' the Instagram post.

City are in action shortly against Arne Slot's side on Sunday afternoon (4.30pm), but it remains to be seen whether or not Haaland has shrugged off a knee injury which saw him miss their Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
