GARY Rowett was pleased with what he saw from Ole Romeny after the forward made his first start for Oxford United.
Romeny came off the bench on four occasions prior to being handed a start at West Bromwich Albion.
The 24-year-old showed some nice touches, but a lot of his work was done from deeper areas and not in or around the penalty box as the U’s struggled to get into dangerous positions.
United enjoyed less than 40 per cent possession, and managed just five shots, none of which were on target, while totalling only 10 touches inside the Baggies penalty area.

U’s head coach Rowett said: “I thought it was similar to when he came on the other day. He showed some bright bits of quality and some little moments where he looked like he gave us a little bit of control in that forward area.
“We had to move him around positionally just because of the needs of the game and some of the changes that we made.
“We couldn’t quite get him into those goalscoring positions, but I thought there were some really promising moments, just like there’s been in training also.”
