Oxford University have been beaten by Cambridge University in the women's Boat Race.
The 78th women's race took place today (Sunday, April 13) with the rowers taking to the River Thames in London.
Kicking off at 1.21pm the teams got into an early tussle which saw the race paused momentarily.
Cambridge raced ahead and Oxford could not catch their bitter rivals as the gap grew throughout the race
Oxford last won the women's race in 2016, which was the final victory spanning a four-win streak spanning back to 2013.
