Reading are to assess Joel Pereira ahead of Good Friday's tie with Lincoln City after feeling a 'strain' in his abductor ahead of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Northampton Town.
The former Manchester United stopper pulled up in the warm-up at Sixfields but played the entire match with strapping, celebrating his 50th appearance for the Royals.
Forced into one good save from Tyler Roberts' strike, the Portuguese goalkeeper was relatively untested throughout, but will be seen to before the visit of the Imps on Friday.
"We will assess him tomorrow," said manager Noel Hunt. "He said he felt a little strain but was fit enough to carry on. Butts was there in the background too."
Captain on the day, Lewis Wing, also needed treatment after falling awkwardly on the dry turf.
Playing on and managing the full 90, Hunt seemed nonplus about the Player of the Season's issue on the day.
"He pinched the back of his Achillies. These things happen when the pitch is a bit harder and drier. When you’re checking and get a nick it can force you one way so hopefully, he is fine."
Back on the road next Monday, over 1,000 Royals are travelling to Mansfield Town.
