GARY Rowett praised his Oxford United coaching staff for their role in the match-winner against Sheffield United.
The only goal of the match came seven minutes before half-time when a long throw-in from Will Vaulks was flicked on by Ben Nelson, and as the Blades failed to clear their lines, Siriki Dembele burst in to apply the finish from inside the six-yard box.
The long throw-in tactic was evident from both sides, with the Blades also using the weapon via skipper Jack Robinson.

Rowett said: “We’ve got a very good backroom team that makes sure the details of those moments are correct.

“They do a lot of hours watching footage to make sure that we get the right support around the edge of the box, to make sure we’re not transitioned on, which Sheffield United are very strong at.
“There were a couple of moments in the first half where they looked like they were going to break off those, but you’ve got to use every weapon available.
“Sheffield United before this game were top of the league, and they’ve got Jack Robinson also throwing the ball in the box.
“It’s a tool that at this stage of the season, nobody cares how they get the points. It’s just about getting them.”
