Gerwyn Price has pocketed £477,500 in prize money over the past two years.

This places the Markham man 12th in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) Order of Merit.

The Order of Merit considers player performance in key events, including the World Championship and World Matchplay, over the last two years.

Luke Humphries leads the pack with £1.9 million, followed by Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen.

The PDC has announced a record increase in ranking money, with £1 million at stake in the 2026 World Darts Championship.

Matt Edgar, WDF professional and OLBG darts editor, said: "The latest PDC announcement is one of a kind and represents the biggest hike in ranking money that darts has ever seen.

"It’s not just the World Championship and major events where we are seeing an influx of money, and it’s good to see that money for many other tour events will be going towards the bottom end of the field."

He believes the changes will fuel more competition for top-ranking places.

Mr Edgar estimates the top 64 players could earn an average of £62,750 per year based on prize money alone.

He predicts a significant shift in ranking positions over the next 12 months due to the new prize money criteria.
