Gabby Logan has taken to Instagram to wish her husband Kenny a happy 53rd birthday.

The BBC Sport presenter posted a series of stories on her profile in a sweet tribute to the former Scotland and Wasps winger, describing him as her "absolute rock".

“We love @kennylogan11 for many things," she wrote, adding: “His love of animals, his charity commitments, his zest for life, how good he looks in a suit [and] his technical abilities.”

She also joked in one of the photos that “his head isn’t that big but it’s not far off.”

Kenny, of course, won 70 caps for Scotland as a player and was part of their 1999 Five Nations victory, the last major tournament won by the Scottish team. He also won two Premiership titles with Wasps.

Gabby and Kenny tied the knot back in 2001 and have two children, twins Reuben and Lois, who are both 19. Northampton Saints star Reuben has followed in his dad's footsteps by pursuing a professional rugby career, and switched allegiance from England to Scotland ahead of this year's U20s Six Nations, while Lois is an up-and-coming showjumper.

The presenter has spoken candidly about her marriage and the struggles she and Kenny faced after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2022. While the cancer was caught early enough to manage, the scary diagnosis left them both in tears and Gabby admitted they "went through a lot" in the months that followed.

Appearing on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, Gabby shared: "It's Kenny and I talk[ed] frankly about what was going to happen. Because there is a big risk of functionality and not being there.

"Erectile function can be massively affected and it might not come back. Kenny was very lucky and eventually it did, but it took a while. His wife wasn't as patient as she might have been."

"If you've been together with somebody for a long time, and that's a big part of your relationship then it is something that is going to affect the dynamics," she added. "It's huge. I'm trying not to use the wrong words. It's huge. He was obviously wanting us to be the couple that we were before and obviously was facing up to this potential huge physical change."

Gabby also recently confided in Kenny the difficulties of having to present BBC 5 Live’s Breakfast programme, explaining: "I remember the last time I filled in on 5 Live Breakfast, I remember coming away and feeling really sad.

"That day some terrible things had happened (on the news). I rang Kenny and said 'I don't know how people do this every day' because you do take on a lot in those three hours."
