Bookies are edging towards Carlisle United tonight as the Blues aim to pick up another crucial win.

Mark Hughes' side are favourites to win the Brunton Park clash with MK Dons.

A United win against Ben Gladwin's visitors is priced 11/8 with BetFred, 6/4 with William Hill and 7/5 with BetVictor.

MK Dons are also seeking back-to-back victories tonight and an away win has odds of 2/1 (Betfair), 19/10 (888Sport) and 9/5 (SkyBet).

The draw is 12/5.

United duo Matt Dennis and Stephen Wearne are set to face their former club tonight.

Striker Dennis is 7/1 to open the scoring for the Blues while Wearne is 9/1 to emulate Saturday's opening strike against Bromley.

Kadeem Harris is 11/1 to strike first for Carlisle, with Jordan Jones 12/1 and Saturday's matchwinner Callum Whelan 14/1.

Longer shots in the Blues ranks for the first goal include Josh Vela at 20/1, Sam Lavelle at 28/1 and Cameron Harper at 66/1.

MK Dons' side is set to include Carlisle-born midfielder Joe White, and he is 18/1 to get the opening goal against his home-city club, and 8/1 to find the net at any stage.

Other contenders to open the scoring for the visitors include Callum Hendry, Danilo Orsi and Alex Gilbey, who are all 17/2.

Jack Sanders, who hit the only goal in MK's win at Cheltenham Town at the weekend, is 50/1 to get the opener again.

Carlisle are 9/1 for a second successive 2-1 home victory, while a 1-0 Blues triumph has odds of 13/2.

MK Dons are 8/1 for a second straight 1-0 away win, and 33/1 for a second 3-0 win over Carlisle this season.

The clubs' last meeting at Brunton Park saw a 3-2 home defeat for the Blues back in 2019, with odds of 35/1 for that to happen again.

A repeat of United's last home win against MK, a 3-0 victory in January 2014, is priced 25/1.
