Wanderers might not have been in action but it still turned out to be a decent weekend in their play-off push.
Fourth-place Charlton were thrashed 3-0 by Peterborough after goals from Sam Hughes, Abraham Odoh and Malik Mothersille at London Road.
Bolton remain six points behind the Addicks but now have a game in hand to make up in the final weeks of the season.
Another big game in the promotion picture saw Wrexham secure a narrow victory against Stockport thanks to Jay Rodriguez’s first goal for the club.
The result sees Wrexham return to the automatic promotion spots, while Stockport missed the chance to climb to fourth.
Wanderers remain within five points of the Hatters and again have a game in hand to make up during the run-in.
Blackpool are up to 10th following a 2-0 win at Kevin Nolan’s Northampton after goals from Ashley Fletcher and Niall Ennis either side of half time.
Barnsley missed the chance to gain some ground on the top six after a 1-1 draw against Cambridge at Oakwell. It was almost a defeat until Jonathan Lewis’ last-gasp equaliser.
Lincoln are 12th in the table following a goalless draw against Exeter and Crawley boosted their survival hopes with a narrow win against Bristol Rovers.
Crawley confirmed Scott Lindsey’s return for a second spell in charge in the build-up to the game.
Lindsey led the club to promotion from League Two last season before leaving to take charge at MK Dons. He returns to the Broadfield Stadium following Rob Elliot’s sacking.
Despite the result, Crawley still find themselves nine points behind Bristol Rovers at the wrong end of the table.
There is only one midweek fixture taking place in League One, with Leyton Orient hosting Stevenage on Thursday night.
Wanderers are back in action next weekend when they head to Bloomfield Road to take on Blackpool. Several days later, the Whites make another short trip to the Brick Community Stadium to face Wigan.
