Liverpool Women are buoyant after an excellent few weeks under interim manager Amber Whiteley. The Reds won huge games against Arsenal in the FA Cup and then Manchester United in the Women's Super League.
The victory over United was particularly significant as it came in the first match Liverpool Women had played under the lights at Anfield. Two goals from Olivia Smith and another from Fuka Nagano sealed the three points for Whiteley's side.
The Reds now travel to second-placed Arsenal looking to continue their forward momentum. Here's the latest news and notes on LFC Women:

Whiteley expecting Arsenal improvements
Liverpool boss Amber Whiteley is expecting an improved Arsenal performance when the two sides meet in the WSL after the Reds triumphed 1-0 in the FA Cup quarter-finals just over two weeks ago.
But Whiteley is confident her side can continue to showcase the quality that has seen improved results over the past few weeks.
She said: "It’s another big game and one we are looking forward to. We are expecting an improved Arsenal from that game.
"They are a very good side but we will be prepared, as we always are. We will go into the game clear on what we need to do to stop them but also clear as to what we need to do to try to hurt them as well.
"I have to say, the girls have been fantastic. We’ve got such a talented group and they want to be playing on these big stages against the best teams and the best players.
"I’m so pleased we’ve been able to show the strength and the quality that we have got in this team over the last three weeks."
Smith thriving in new system
Olivia Smith says she's thriving at Liverpool after a change of tactics from Amber Whiteley. The Canadian forward has struck six WSL goals this season after arriving from Sporting in the summer.
And Smith says changes made by Whiteley, who replaced Matt Beard when he left the club last month, have helped her to show her quality.
Liverpool have switched to a 4-3-3 formation and strung together three consecutive victories as confidence has returned.
“It definitely feels like home now, just starting to get comfortable and build my confidence. Especially in this new formation, I get to bring out my qualities," said Smith.
“Honestly it has been fun, going against top opponents is really good for me to improve and I can look back on these games and see what I can do better for the next match.”
She added: "“Now we’re in a new formation and it allows us to bring our different qualities. We all feel good, the competition in training is really good.”
Liverpool match moved
Liverpool's clash with Brighton & Hove Albion will be played at 12.30pm on Saturday, April 19. The game will be played at Brighton's AMEX Stadium and is shaping up to be a huge game, with the Seagulls just ahead of the Reds in the WSL table.
