MMA: A trio of TSG fighters will be gunning for glory at the 02 Arena tomorrow.
Tommy Brunning, Cameron Stewart and Danny Blundell - who all train at the Westcliff venue - are part of the eagerly anticipated CageWarriors fight night.
And coach Dan Burzotta knows the trio could not have prepared any better for their battles.
“They have been in camp for nine weeks and went to Sweden to train for a couple of weeks at the start of camp,” said Burzotta.
“They prepared at All Stars Academy where former UFC fighter and Khamzat Chimaev used to train.”
However, since then the fighters have been working tirelessly closer to home.
“We have literally been putting them through the mill twice a day everyday at TSG in Southend,” said Burzotta.
“The training has been brutal but worth it as you get back what you put in.”
And Burzotta is proud of the work that has been put in.
“They are a pleasure to coach as they always give 100 per cent,” said Burzotta.
“I’ve watched them grow from young boys into men and I’m like a proud father. It takes time dedication, determination and most of all discipline.
“Everybody wants the glory but not everybody wants to put in the hard work. God willing we will come back victorious on Friday.”
Burzotta is also putting several other fighters through their paces as they prepare for the return of the Ultimate Warrior Challenge fight night at Hockley’s Clements Hall on Saturday April 5.
A number of home-grown fighters will be in action on the night and Burzotta is already looking forward to the evening.
“It’s going to be good and we have some really good fights that night too,” said Burzotta.
“It’s been a little while since we’ve done this so we’re really looking forward to it and seeing a lot more of the TSG guys in action again.”
