THE date and time for Warrington Wolves’ Challenge Cup quarter-final against St Helens have now been confirmed.

The two neighbours, who meet in Super League at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday, will collide at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on the first weekend in April after being paired with each other during Monday night’s last-eight draw.

Now, it has been confirmed the match will take place on Sunday, April 6, kick off 2.30pm.

The game - a repeat of last year's quarter-final which Sam Burgess' side won 31-8 - has been chosen as one of two from the round to be shown live on BBC Sport, with the clash to be broadcast live on BBC Two.

Warrington have confirmed tickets for the game will go on sale at 11am tomorrow - Wednesday, March 19 - with a 48-hour window for membership holders in the North and East Stands to reserve their usual seats.

The other televised game will be the cross-city derby between Hull FC and Hull KR, which will be live on BBC One on Saturday, April 5, kick off 2.30pm.

Being drawn together in the Challenge Cup means Warrington and St Helens will now face each other three times during the next six weeks – 18 days after the quarter-final tie, Saints will be back at The Halliwell Jones Stadium for a Super League Round Nine fixture on Thursday, April 24.

Both of the other quarter-final ties – Wakefield Trinity vs Leigh Leopards and Catalans Dragons vs Salford Red Devils – will take place on Friday night.
