Carlisle United loanee Taylor Charters helped Queen of the South get back to winning ways in Scottish League One.
The Blues man made his fifth start and seventh appearance in total for the Doonhamers against Alloa Athletic.
And Charters was on the winning side as Peter Murphy’s men chalked up a 3-2 victory at Palmerston Park.
Charters, handed a defensive role by Murphy, played the first 75 minutes as Queens moved up to fifth in the table, two points behind their opponents. Next for the Maryport player and his team-mates is a trip to bottom side Dumbarton next weekend.
Jake Allan and Aran Fitzpatrick were back in action for Workington Reds in their latest Northern Premier League Premier Division clash.
Both United teenagers were in Mark Fell’s starting XI for the home clash with Gainsborough Trinity.
