Simon Parker reiterated his pride in Blackburn Rovers Women's performance but insists displays need to translate to points after a late defeat at London City Lionesses.
Rovers held out for 83 minutes before they were eventually breached by their opponents, who sit eight places above them at the full-time whistle.
Milijana Ivanovic netted the decisive goal in the final 10 minutes. Alex Brooks was beaten to the ball by Freya Godrey, lifting into the path of Ivanovic who volleyed into an empty net.
Despite a battling display, with injuries causing several players to miss out, Rovers left the capital empty-handed.

Parker was positive about their efforts but hopes to see their performances reflected in points as they battle to stay up.
“It was really difficult to take, the girls applied themselves really well and we were very hard to break down," Parker said.
"It’s a little bit unfortunate that we had a couple of players drop out prior to the match so it left us with a smaller squad, and I think that everyone really adapted well to the scenario and the situation.
“I thought that we defended well and I’m just disappointed at that little momentary lapse in concentration when they got in behind, the girls really deserved something from the game and with how they applied themselves.
“I’m really proud of the girls. They applied themselves well, and we’ve done that a lot this season. We’ve been competitive in games, but we have to turn them into points, and I have full belief that we will.
“We will work on things and keep on trying to improve. We’ve gone up against one of the top teams in the league again where we should have come away with something, and make sure against Bristol City, we’ll put in a good performance.”
Rovers host Bristol City at Ewood Park next Saturday (3pm) as they look to return to winning ways.
