LIVERPOOL defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is facing an extended spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury, leaving Arne Slot without a recognised right-back for Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Newcadtle United.
Alexander-Arnold was injured in the second half of the Champions League exit to Paris St Germain on Tuesday.
With Conor Bradley and Joe Gomez also recovering from injuries, Slot doesn't have a fit right-back for Sunday's final, with Jarell Quansah - who replaced Alexander-Arnold on Tuesday - now favourite to start on the right side of the defence.

“Trent is not available. He will not be there at the final,” said Slot.
“But he is still to be assessed for how long it will take but we do expect him back before the end of the season.”
Alexander-Arnold had already been left out of Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad.
Slot, though, has played down fears Ibrahima Konate may be unavailable for Sunday's final after the France international centre-back limped off against PSG during extra time with suspected cramp.
"We didn't train yesterday and had a warmdown session on Wednesday, so we haven't trained yet," said the Liverpool boss.
"But I expect Ibou to train today."
