Liverpool have been knocked out of the last-16 of the Champions League following a 4-1 penalty shootout defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones were both denied by Gianluigi Donnarumma - while Vitinha, Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele and Doue all converted from the spot for PSG.
Dembele scored the only goal of the game early on in the first half to level the aggregate. Liverpool were unable to provide a response in normal time despite several attempts in extra-time.
Despite bowing out of the European competition, Arne Slot's side still have the League Cup and Premier League to play for this season. They will also have one eye on the upcoming summer transfer window;

Brighton defender on the radar
Give Me Sport report that Liverpool have decided to continue 'evaluating' Jan Paul van Hecke's performances at Brighton for the rest of the season. It's claimed the Reds recruitment chiefs have been impressed with the centre-back and his adaptation to the English top-flight is believed to have made him an 'attractive option' for them.
The report adds that Liverpool's scouting team will keep tabs on him before making a final decision this summer. However, they could face tough competition should they decide to go for his signature, with Serie A side Napoli 'threatening' to join the race if there are indications Brighton are willing to part ways.
Van Hecke is not the only defender on the club's shortlist of potential reinforcements. AFC Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez heavily linked with a move.
Thuram still an option for Reds
Liverpool have, reportedly, sent scouts to watch Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram in the last month - according to TBR Football. But the Reds weren't the only English club to do so, with Arsenal and Chelsea also mentioned as being in attendance during their Champions League tie with Feyenoord.
Thuram scored Inter's first goal in their 2-0 win over the Eredivisie side. All three clubs are claimed as being on the market for a new forward when the Premier League season ends.
And Thuram is said to have emerged as a potential reinforcement - having a reported £70million release clause inserted in his contract. Inter are said to be 'ready' to open talks over a new contract which could see his clause increased.
