Josh Sheehan has been named in the latest Wales squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Craig Bellamy’s side host Kazakhstan on Saturday, March 22 before heading to North Macedonia on Tuesday, March 25.
Wales have also been drawn alongside Belgium and Liechtenstein in Group J. The top team from each group will qualify for the tournament in 2026, with those who finish second progressing to the play-offs.
Sheehan captained his country against Gibraltar last summer. The midfielder also produced a Man of the Match performance in the win against Montenegro in October.
The 29-year-old has been in good form at club level, scoring a brilliant winner against Burton at the Pirelli Stadium last weekend.
Meanwhile, Luke Southwood and Eoin Toal have been called up for Northern Ireland ahead of their upcoming friendlies.
Michael O’Neill’s side host Switzerland on Friday, March 21 before heading to Sweden on Tuesday, March 25.
Southwood had to be patient at times following his summer switch from Cheltenham but has had a consistent run in the team at Wanderers recently.
Toal has been a key figure in the Bolton backline since his return from injury at the start of February and was on target in the win at Shrewsbury a few weeks ago.
Former Wanderers Conor Bradley and Dion Charles have also been named in O’Neill’s latest squad.
