West Ham could have Lucas Paqueta back for tonight’s Premier League clash with Newcastle.

The Hammers host Newcastle at the London Stadium with Graham Potter’s side looking to build on recent results.

Indeed, West Ham beat Leicester 2-0 last time out to claim consecutive Premier League victories for the first time in almost a year, having shocked Arsenal earlier last month.

While beating the Foxes is perhaps not the biggest surprise in the world, the Irons should feel confident about Monday’s game. Newcastle sit sixth in the Premier League table but are missing key players through injury and suspension and have rarely convinced on a consistent basis over the past few weeks.

Paqueta suffered an ankle injury in training and has missed their last two Premier League games but has trained ahead of Monday’s game.

“He's fine. He's been disappointed because he's missed games with injury, but he's worked hard and trained well this week,” said the Hammers boss.

“I've found him no problem whatsoever, and he's been really good.

“He's been with the group and given everything in the games he's played. He's done everything he needs to do and he's available again.

Vladimir Coufal has also trained and could be involved.

Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug are long-term absentees. Fullkrug has “has trained but it's still early for his involvement” in a fresh boost for the Hammers.

West Ham predicted XI: Areola; Todibo, Kilman, Cresswell; Wan-Bissaka, Soucek, Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, Scarles; Bowen, Kudus

Doubts: Paqueta, Coufal

Injured: Summerville, Antonio, Fullkrug

Time and date: 8pm GMT on Monday 10 March 2025
