Manchester United could use Napoli's reported interest in Rasmus Hojlund to their advantage amid links to Victor Osimhen.

Hojlund has been one of many United players struggling to fulfil their potential this season with the club languishing in 15th in the Premier League. The 22-year-old has failed to score in 16 games, with his last goal coming in the 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest in December.

The loud cheer from supporters when Chido Obi replaced Hojlund in the 2-2 draw with Everton said it all. United then went on to score twice within ten minutes of Hojlund's withdraw.

But whether he remains at Old Trafford beyond the summer remains to be seen, however. talkSPORT have claimed Napoli are interested in Hojlund's services for a 'fraction' of his price tag.

With that said, United are believed to still have Victor Osimhen on their radar and could use Hojlund as a secret weapon to land the Nigeria international. The Reds considered a move for a new number nine in the January transfer window with Mathys Tel linked towards the end.

However, the Bayern Munich ace instead moved to Tottenham Hotspur. Osimhen meanwhile, is set to return to Napoli once his loan at Galatasaray expires at the end of the season.

But he is not expected to have a future at the club following a public falling out with manager Antonio Conte. Osimhen will certainly not be short of potential suitors, having been in red-hot form for the Turkish outfit this season, scoring 20 goals in 26 games since signing on a season-long from Napoli.

Elsewhere, reports in Nigeria suggesting a move for Osimhen is all but agreed. According to journalist Anthony Nlebem of Business Day, the move is '95 percent complete'. The report states that United are set to pay the £62million release clause in his contract at Napoli at the end of his loan with Galatasaray.
