Manchester's Lerone Murphy will headline a UFC Fight Night against Josh Emmett in Las Vegas on April 5.
The 33-year-old will face the eighth-ranked featherweight in a five-round bout at the UFC Apex.
Murphy [15-0-1] is unbeaten since signing with the UFC in 2019 and most recently claimed a unanimous decision victory over Dan Ige at UFC 308.

In December, the Manchester Evening News revealed that Murphy, who hails from the Old Trafford area, had his eyes on a bout with Emmett in early 2025 as he bids to move up the featherweight rankings.
Murphy had hoped the fight would be scheduled for the UFC's return to London on March 22. But that was not the case and the bout will now take place in America two weeks later.
After announcing the fight on his social media channels on Monday, Murphy said: "Yes fight fans! The news is out, and I'm main-eventing against Josh Emmett in Vegas. Five-round main event, let's go!"
When speaking to the MEN in December, Murphy revealed his goal to fight for the featherweight title before the end of 2025.
"I’m looking to bring the title home in 2025. That’s my goal," said Murphy. "The perfect year would be to have three fights - March, mid-summer and then a title fight at the end of the year."
Meanwhile, Emmett, 39, has won six of his ten fights in the UFC since debuting in 2016. However, he has not fought since defeating Bryce Mitchell at UFC 296 in December 2023.
