Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool against Manchester City on Sunday as he rounded off a corner routine that was clearly straight off the training ground.
Alexis Mac Allister's low corner picked out Dominik Szoboszlai at the near post, and the Hungarian's flick-on was swept home by Salah via a deflection off Nathan Ake.
The goal set Liverpool on its way to a 2-0 victory, as Salah turned provider for Szoboszlai later in the first half, and speaking after the game, Curtis Jones revealed how the corner routine had gone slightly differently during training in the week leading up to the clash.

Jones told the Premier League: “It was planned that but in training, we did the same thing but Mo’s touch was bad so it fell to me at the edge and I scored. So I was telling Mo, ‘Mo just do the exact same thing’ but yeah it fell to him there and he went and scored so I am happy.”
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot was asked whether he had taken inspiration from a corner routine employed by Bournemouth earlier this season, when a Lewis Cook corner was flicked on by Justin Kluivert for Ryan Christie to score in a game against Arsenal.
Liverpool's opener against City was incredibly similar to that Bournemouth goal but Slot denied that the Reds had taken inspiration from Christie's finish.
“I remember that one but it wasn’t inspired by that," Slot told Sky Sports. "It’s not just me, we as a group people look at how the setup is and in this situation, someone came up with a great plan, it wasn’t me.
“We knew that space could be there and we trained it yesterday and now because of deflection, it went in. It was so helpful because we weren’t dominating the game.”
