Aaron Morley says there is belief in the Wanderers camp that they will always find goals – even when they go behind in games.
Morley struck the winner from the penalty spot against Leyton Orient as the Whites made it three successive league wins.
The Whites have conceded first in all three of those games but still taken maximum points to boost their play-off push.
Morley reckons they were good value for the result against an Orient side who headed to the Toughsheet Community Stadium in strong form.
“It was a good performance,” he said. “Apart from 10 minutes in the first half, I think we dominated the game and I'm happy with the three points.
“We always back ourselves to score so if we do have a wobbly 10 or 20 minutes, we need to keep the score to nil or one because we know we are going to score.
“Hats off to the lads who came off the bench, they changed the game for us and just delighted with the three points.”
It was a big three points for Steven Schumacher’s side, who are now only outside the top six on goal difference.
“It was frustrating for the first half because they were playing for set pieces, playing for throw-ins and we know how dangerous they can be,” Morley continued.
“But as soon as we got the ball on the ground, I think we took over and we dominated the game.
“For the majority of the first half, we were on top. It was just a bit of a sloppy 10 minutes where they got a goal, but we knew we would come out fighting in the second half.
“All the subs who came on made an impact and won us the game. If they can continue doing that when we run teams down in the second half, then great.”
The 24-year-old extended his impressive record from the penalty spot, keeping his cool to pick out the bottom corner despite Josh Keeley’s best efforts.
When asked how he manages to produce consistency in those high pressure moments, Morley replied: “I can't give that away because then they'll save them!
“I always back myself from the penalty spot. I just look at the ball, look at the keeper and pick my spot before I even put the ball down. I’m just glad it went in.
“I don't think I've missed one yet, touch wood. But I always back myself and hopefully many more to come.”
More than 20,000 supporters were in attendance and Morley insists they gave the squad a big boost again.
“Always, it is good to hear them singing your name and all game they were bang at it. It was really good,” he declared.
