JOBE BELLINGHAM and Dan Ballard return to Sunderland's starting line-up for this evening's  Championship home game with Luton Town.

Bellingham missed last weekend's draw with Watford because of a minor injury issue, but has recovered sufficiently to return to the Black Cats side tonight.

The midfielder replaces Salis Abdul Samed, who drops down to the bench after playing in a deep-lying role midfield role on Saturday.

Regis Le Bris has made two changes to his starting side, with Ballard promoted from his place on the bench against Watford.

Ballard will partner Luke O'Nien at the heart of the back four, with Chris Mepham dropping out of the starting XI.

Mepham is on the bench, with his fellow defender, Jenson Seelt, also a substitute as he appears in a matchday squad for the first time this season.

SUNDERLAND (4-3-3): Patterson; Hume, Ballard, O'Nien, Cirkin; Rigg, Neil, Bellingham; Roberts, Isidor, Le Fee.

Subs: Moore, Mayenda, Samed, Mepham, Aleksic, Hjelde, Ogusunyi, Jones, Seelt.
