Accrington Stanley had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Tranmere Rovers after Rovers scored a dramatic equaliser in the 11th minute of added time.
Stanley were breathtaking in the first half, scoring three goals through Ben Woods, Tyler Walton and Josh Woods.
However Rovers came back after the break to secure a point.
With Billy Crellin injured, Michael Kelly started his first league game since September in goal for the Reds.
Liam Coyle and Josh Woods also came into the XI, replacing the injured Seamus Conneely and Kelsey Mooney who dropped to the bench.
Stanley had a dream start when, with just 43 seconds on the clock, Ben Woods got the ball from Walton on the edge of the area and thumped it into the bottom of the net. It was his seventh goal of the season.
It was then a blistering first half from the Reds who had a great chance to double the lead on 18 minutes when Josh Woods put Shaun Whalley clean through but keeper Luke McGee dived low to deny him.
Farrend Rawson hit the bar but it was ruled off-side anyway before Stanley scored a second on 24 minutes.
A Josh Woods cross was headed home by Walton for his ninth goal in his first season in the EFL.
Walton headed onto the top of the net as Stanley continued to look dangerous, limiting Tranmere to just one blocked shot in the first half.
It was three on 42 minutes when Stanley broke and Donald Love passed to Josh Woods in the area who had the easy task to stroke the ball into the empty net for his seventh goal of the campaign.
A Josh Hawkes free kick was narrowly over the bar for Tranmere after the re-start as the visitors made a double substitution and put pressure on the Reds.
The Stanley defence held firm until the 78th minute when Omari Patrick rifled home a 30-yard free kick into the top corner of the net.
Kelly superbly tipped away a Kieron Morris header a minute later as Rovers pressed for a second and former Red Sam Finley’s long-range strike was close.
The second came on 87 minutes when Kristian Dennis charged into the area and blasted home.
There was 11 minutes of added time with Rovers pressing and, in the last of them, Patrick rifled a 30-yard strike into the roof of the net to break Stanley’s hearts.
