Ian Holloway said that the Swindon Town players and supporters made him proud as they won 5-4 against Bradford City.

Swindon were in a hole early on as Callum Kavanagh was allowed to score an early double, before Richie Smallwood's red card turned everything.

Kavanagh had another before the break, but an own goal and Kabongo Tshimanga's finish had Town in touching distance at the break.

Harry Smith then levelled, Brad Halliday thought he might have won it, before Smith scored again in the 90th minute and Jack Shepherd sent through his own net for a scarcely believable Swindon win.

Holloway said that the way everyone responded to going behind showed everything that he wanted from the football club.

He said: "We let two goals in against ten men, which is normally a no go for us managers, but we have ended up winning and kept our good run going.

"To be honest with you, everybody who sits off against us, even with ten men, we normally get going and I am just there thinking 'Who am I putting on next?'

"I have never seen a game like it, and I probably never will again. It is not too good for your ticker, but it is wonderful when you are on the right side of it.

"One of my lads banged on their door after the game and we shouldn't do that, you have to be dignified.

"There were a lot of things today that I was not proud of.

"But the team made me proud today and the supporters made me proud today.

"No one moaned when we went behind, and that is a beautiful thing, nobody got on them after we went two behind with a terrible start.

"That is the difference. That has allowed me to do things, and it has allowed the lads not to go too deep and score goals like that.

"This is the Nigel Eady County Ground, and this is what makes us, and the lads have earned that, but the fans still had to do it, and that was massive.

"They brought a big following, and we did not make it easy for them by moaning, because we believe. That is what I got out of today.

"We believe in them now and that is a wonderful thing. I am so proud of the good things we did today.

"I believe they want it more than I do now, and that was not the case when I got here."

Holloway was also hugely pleased with the way Swindon attacked, and then gave the understatement of the century.

He said: "They are where they are for their dogged determination, and they were a man short, but they couldn't defend against us.

"We still were putting balls into the box and we were still creating the chances, and I still needed my goalie to make a few saves.

"For me, today was good value for money, and that is what it is all about."
