Jack Grealish 'slapped in face by Manchester United fan' as man charged with assault

A man has been arrested after allegedly slapping Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish in the face following the Manchester derby at Old Trafford.

The England international was making his way towards the tunnel before the 0-0 draw when he was allegedly hit by a fan next to the tunnel.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Alfie Holt, 20, of Haven Drive, Droylsden, has been charged with assault. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court.

“This charge relates to an incident which took place at Old Trafford yesterday.”
