Albion will have FOUR current England squad members in their ranks when they next walk out for WSL action at the Amex.
On-loan striker Michelle Agyemang has been called up by the Lionesses for the Nations League clash with Belgium in Leuven tomorrow.
She joins Fran Kirby, Nikita Parris and Maisie Symonds in the party, along with defender Maya Le Tissier, who progressed through the Seagulls’ ranks before joining Manchester United.
Agyemang is with Albion on a season-long deal from Arsenal.
She comes in for fellow Gunners forward Alessia Russo, who has withdrawn from injury.
Russo, who played for Albion back in their Summer Series days, had 73 minutes of the 5-0 rout of Belgium at Ashton Gate on Friday night before being withdrawn after suffering a knock.
Parris went on as sub during that match.
Agyemang, a powerful forward player who looked lively in Albion’s recent defeat by Manchester City, has been called up as a replacement for Russo in what is her first appearance in the senior squad.
England have collected seven points from a possible nine in Group A3 of the Nations League ahead of Tuesday’s return appointment with Belgium.
Meanwhile Albion are building towards their next date at the Amex, when they host Liverpool a week on Saturday (12.30pm).
