OLE Romeny made it two goals in his first two games for Indonesia after scoring the winner in their 2026 World Cup qualifier at home to Bahrain.
Oxford United forward Romeny netted on his international debut on Thursday as Indonesia were beaten 5-1 by Australia, and he backed that up with another strike.
With 24 minutes on the clock, Romeny received a low pass from U’s teammate Marselino Ferdinan and produced a first-time right-footed finish from the centre of the penalty box.
It proved to be the only goal of the game as Indonesia moved to within a point of third-placed Saudi Arabia in the six-team qualifying group.

Meanwhile, Ben Nelson was an unused substitute yesterday as England’s Elite League squad (formerly the Under-20s) drew 2-2 against Switzerland.
Former United loanee Dane Scarlett, who has one goal in five appearances for Tottenham Hotspur since his recall in January, played half an hour from the bench for England.
Nelson previously played the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw away to Portugal, a game in which Scarlett gave England the lead after seven minutes, but Portugal hit back through Leeds United youngster Diogo Monteiro just after half an hour had been played.
