Germany hold a one-goal advantage going into tonight's UEFA Nations League quarter-final second leg against Italy.
Despite falling behind to Sandro Tonali's ninth minute opener on Thursday, second-half headers from Tim Kleindienst and Leon Goretzka turned the first leg around in favour of Julian Nagelsmann's side.
The victory extended Germany's unbeaten run across all competitions to seven games. Should they avoid defeat at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund tonight, a place in the Nations League Finals will be guaranteed.
For the Azzurri to complete a comeback of their own, they will have to do so without Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori who has pulled out of the squad through injury. Meanwhile, Luciano Spalletti has demanded an improvement from his side with regard to the amount of set-piece goals they are conceding.
The winners will not only advance to the semi-final where they will face either Denmark or Portugal, but host the final tournament too.
