The Republic of Ireland hold a slender lead over Bulgaria heading into the second leg of their UEFA Nations League relegation playoff. Heimir Hallgrimsson's side came from behind to win 2-1 in Plovdiv.

Finn Azaz bagged the equaliser before Matt Doherty headed home the winner at the Stadion Hristo Botev, and now all eyes turn to Dublin for the second instalment.

Hallgrimsson will take some encouragement from the Republic's character in coming back from a goal down, but he will be looking for an improved performance against a weak Bulgarian side.
