Reading Football Club will have a day in court with former Wycombe Wanderers chief, and perspective buyer, Rob Couhig on Friday morning.

As confirmed by the Business and Property Courts, Mr Justice Jacobs will oversee the battle between Redwood Holdings 1 Ltd [Mr Couhig's company] and Renhe Sports Management Co Limited [the company through which Dai Yongge owns Reading.]

Confirmed for 10.30am at Rolls Building, the Application Hearing will be online.

It is the latest legal position as Mr Couhig continues his battle with Mr Dai, and therefore, Reading Football Club.

Mr Dai has claimed that Mr Couhig's refusal to release the liens on the club and Bearwood training facility is 'unlawful' and preventing the sale of the club to Mr Robert Platek, who is the currently perspective buyer.

Until these liens are released and financial charges settled, which the club argue they have, Reading cannot be sold.

However, Mr Couhig (Redwood) is claiming that the club broke exclusivity rules while in negotiations with Chrion and Redwood and is appealing for over £12m for loss of potential profits.
