Manchester United's pre-season preparations ahead of 2025/26 are continuing to take shape following confirmation they will face Leeds United in their opening friendly in July.
United have announced they will lock horns with the current Championship table-toppers at the Strawberry Arena on Saturday, July 19, kick-off 2pm. It will mark their second pre-season meeting in three seasons after clashing in Norway in July 2023.
Scandinavian-based friendlies have become a highlight of United's pre-season fixture schedules in recent years, with the upcoming clash with Leeds marking the fourth year in a row the Reds will have travelled to that region as part of their plans ahead of the new campaign.

United visited Norway in July 2022 to face Atletico Madrid before facing Leeds the following year and Rosenborg last summer.
Just like last year, United's trip to Scandinavia will proceed a pre-season tour of the United States, with the club confirming their tour details earlier this month.
Visiting the US for the third pre-season running, United will play three games during their stay on the other side of the Atlantic, as part of the Premier League's Summer Series. They are scheduled to face West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton.
United will lock horns with West Ham at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday, July 27, kick-off 12am BST. They will then lock horns with Bournemouth four days later in Chicago at Soldier Field, kick-off 3.30am BST.
They will conclude their tour of the US with a clash against Everton at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday, August 3, kick-off 11pm BST.
United, who will be based in Chicago for the tour, could possibly play another friendly after returning to the UK, as was the case in 2023 when the squad was divided into two groups and faced RC Lens at Old Trafford and Athletic Bilbao at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on the same weekend.
The 2025/26 Premier League season will kick-off on Saturday, August 16.
United's confirmed pre-season schedule so far:
