Real Madrid vs Arsenal LIVE!

Arsenal return to Women’s Champions League action tonight as they contest the first leg of their huge quarter-final showdown with Real Madrid at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano. The Gunners travel to Spain looking to continue their European charge having qualified for the group stages and then lost just one game en route to topping a table that also contained Bayern Munich and Juventus. A 5-2 defeat by Bayern contributed to the exit of previous head coach Jonas Eidevall, but successor Renee Slegers subsequently steadied the ship and led an impressive recovery effort.

However, Arsenal currently trail leaders Chelsea by eight points in the WSL title race, while they were recently upset by Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup having also been ousted from the League Cup semis by Manchester City. The opportunity for silverware is running out and there will now be extra focus on their Champions League campaign as they hope to win the competition for the first time since 2007.

Real Madrid will also be keen on progressing further in Europe as they trail rivals Barcelona by a long way domestically, but were a distant second behind Chelsea in their group. Follow Real Madrid vs Arsenal live below!
