Manchester United put their recent Premier League woes behind them on Sunday to hold Arsenal to a 1-1 draw and all but end the Gunners' title chances.

Bruno Fernandes put United ahead in the first-half with a terrific free-kick but Declan Rice equalised later on. The draw leaves Ruben Amorim's men 14th, level on points with Tottenham.

Since losing to Spurs on February 16, United have now avoided defeat in three league games. However, they have managed just three league wins in 2025.

Many had expected United to lose against the Gunners on Sunday with Mikel Arteta's men putting seven past PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night, but Amorim's men competed well to silence some of their doubters.

However, Amorim confirmed that he doesn't want his side's defence-heavy performance to become a regular thing. "We don't want to play like this, defending so much and giving the ball to the opponent," he said.

"But with all the games, with all the problems and the characteristics of the players, we try to adapt and find a way to win. I know it's frustrating, but in the future we are not going to play like this."

After the game, many of the United players took to social media to react to the draw. Diogo Dalot shared: "That was a battle. Wish we could got the win at the end for you but an honour to make my 200th appearance for this incredible club! Thank you Reds for a special atmosphere!"

Dalot's post was liked by Fernandes, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt. Casemiro wrote: "What a thrilling match, lads !!", with the Brazilian posting a series of pictures with teammates on his Instagram story. Goalkeeper Andre Onana posted images of himself from the game on his Instagram story.
