Liverpool continued its march toward the Premier League title after claiming a 3-1 win over Southampton, while its closest rival Arsenal drew 1-1 with Manchester United.
The Gunners had chances to win the game late on, but they were unable to beat Andre Onana in the United net at Old Trafford - with the result now leaving Arsenal 15 points behind Liverpool who remain well clear at the top of the Premier League.
Barring a calamitous drop-off in form, Liverpool will be the Premier League champion come May. The Reds have been the best team this season in Arne Slot's inaugural campaign, an impressive feat given their lack of recruitment last summer.

However, behind the scenes on the transfer front, Liverpool has plenty of issues to deal with, particularly when it comes to the trio of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, who are all out of contract in the summer. And with that in mind, Liverpool.com takes a look at the latest transfer Reds transfer news...
European trio interested in Virgil van Dijk
Reds skipper Van Dijk has been in imperious form this season for Liverpool, but could still leave this summer. According to Graeme Bailey, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich are all interested in signing the Dutchman should he choose to leave Anfield.
The report also adds both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid would be open to offering Van Dijk a two-year deal, with Bayern Munich also monitoring the center-back's availability should he leave Anfield. Van Dijk, 33, is also expected to draw interest from the Saudi Pro League, who would likely be able to blow the contract offers from the European trio and Liverpool out of the water.
The Liverpool captain has outlined he would like to stay at Anfield, and has been offered a new deal. But with his current deal coming to an end, there is still a chance Van Dijk's last action at Anfield could be to lift the Premier League trophy before departing.
Reds line-up Mohamed Salah replacement
Spanish outlet Fichajes report Liverpool will look to replace Mohamed Salah with Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman should the Egyptian depart Anfield at the end of the season. Salah added two more goals to his tally this term with a penalty brace against Southampton, with the 32-year-old now having scored 27 times in 29 Premier League matches.
The report adds that Coman would be available for around $32.5 million to $43 million with his contract set to expire with the Bundesliga in 2027. Arsenal has been credited with interest in Coman, who will likely attract attention from the Saudi Pro League too.
