Carlisle United are 13/5 to end their long wait for back-to-back league victories against Walsall tonight.

That price is offered by bookmakers William Hill, 888Sport and Betfair for a Blues win against the League Two leaders.

The clash between the fourth tier's bottom and top-placed sides also sees United 12/5 (SkyBet) and 5/2 (Bet365) to prevail against the Saddlers.

Mark Hughes' Carlisle, who are aiming to build on last Thursday's 1-0 win at Barrow, face a Walsall side four points clear at the summit.

Mat Sadler's visitors are Evens (Bet365, SkyBet) to win at Brunton Park, and 11/10 with other bookies (BetFred, Ladbrokes, UniBet) and 23/20 with Coral.

The draw is 5/2.

Matt Dennis got the all important goal for United at Holker Street, and the frontman is 10/1 to get the opener for the Blues this evening.

Strike partner Cedwyn Scott is 17/2 for the first goal, with Kadeem Harris 14/1 and Elliot Embleton 14/1.

Longer shots in the Blues ranks for the opening goal include Callum Whelan at 16/1, fit-again Jordan Jones at 20/1, Sam Lavelle at 33/1 and Terell Thomas at 66/1.

For Walsall, the experienced Jamille Matt is 5/1 favourite to notch first at Brunton Park, with Ellis Harrison 6/1.

Jamie Jellis, who scored along with Matt in October's 3-1 win over the Blues, is 10/1.

Longer shots for Walsall in terms of the opening goal include former United midfielder Brandon Comley (28/1), Liam Gordon (28/1) and Oisin McEntee (28/1).

Carlisle are 9/1 to record a second consecutive 1-0 win, while a 2-1 home victory is priced 12/1.

The last Brunton Park meeting between these clubs was a 0-0 draw in November 2022, and a repeat of that is 19/2.

Walsall are 16/1 for another 3-1 win against the Cumbrians, and 18/1 to emulate their last win at United's ground, a 3-0 victory in February 2013.

Carlisle are tonight seeking a fourth straight league clean sheet for the first time since 2008, and a shut-out for Gabe Breeze and co is 3/1, with a Walsall clean sheet having odds of 33/20.
