Arne Slot has sent a clear message to Paris Saint-Germain that Liverpool isn't afraid to take on the French club in the Champions League.
The Reds have been in excellent form under Slot, particularly in domestic competitions, where they have extended their lead in the Premier League to 13 points. This momentum has transferred seamlessly into Liverpool's Champions League campaign with Slot's side topping the table to progress to the round of 16.
The two league leaders meet at the Parc des Princes in what promises to be a thrilling Champions League encounter, with the return leg at Anfield the following week.

Looking ahead to the game, the Liverpool head coach stated his side aren't afraid to take on Luis Enrique's side. “Do we fear PSG? We don’t fear anybody. But I am impressed by their quality, they are on an upwards curve a bit similar to ours at the moment" said Slot.
He added: “ I don’t think the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Real Madrid, these kind of clubs don’t fear opponents. But we definitely respect them and there’s a reason for that, and that’s what you just said – that they won so many games in a row and they have so many quality players.
"I think it’s going to be a very interesting game for everybody who loves football. I would be surprised if people who are neutral watch a different game than that one because I think everyone – including Paris Saint-Germain and us – are looking forward to the game.”
PSG secured an impressive 4-1 victory over Lille with Bradley Barcola, Marquinhos, Ousmane Dembele, and Desire Doue all getting on the scoresheet. Despite PSG’s dominant performance, Liverpool are in a strong position ahead of their two-legged Champions League clash with the French side. The Reds’ only match before facing PSG is a Premier League encounter against Southampton, giving them a much-needed week-long break.
Arne Slot's tactical approach has brought more control to Liverpool’s game, with the squad in top shape, thanks to the availability of their key players.
However, complacency is still a concern for Liverpool. The Reds’ form had dropped before their recent resurgence against Manchester City and Newcastle, so they must remain focused to avoid any slip-ups against a high-quality PSG side. With their fitness levels in check and a rested squad, Liverpool are primed for a strong challenge in Paris.
