REGIS LE  BRIS has rung the changes for Sunderland's game at Sheffield Wednesday this evening, making five alterations from the side that started last weekend's home defeat to Watford.

Two of the changes are enforced, with Dan Ballard and Enzo Le Fee both having suffered injuries that will keep them on the sidelines for at least a month.

But Le Bris has also opted to make three more changes in an attempt to freshen up his side in the wake of back-to-back defeats with Dennis Cirkin, Chris Rigg and Wilson Isidor also dropping out of the starting XI.

Chris Mepham and Leo Hjelde start in the back four, with the former replacing Ballard at centre-half and the latter starting at left-back in place of Cirkin.

Alan Browne is back in the starting side, forming a midfield trio with Dan Neil and Jobe Bellingham.

Mundle replaces the injured Le Fee on the left-hand side, with Eliezer Mayenda getting the nod to start in attack in place of Isidor.

Cirkin, Rigg and Isidor all named on the bench, with fit-again defender Jenson Seelt also named amongst the replacements.
