Anticipation is hotly building around Liverpool as the club's relentless pursuit of the title comes down to just the last 10 Premier League games. With Manchester City dominating the league for the last four years, fans are dreaming they can break the streak and bring the trophy back to Anfield.

With Arsenal having the odd slip in the new year and being held to a difficult 0-0 draw to Nottingham Forest it looks as though their hopes are narrowing. One man's misery is another man's fortune, with Arne Slot's side currently sitting 13 points clear. So theoretically when could the moment finally arrive?

To work out the close date that Liverpool could officially secure the title, the Red's must achieve a points total that surpasses what their closest rivals could obtain if they win all the remaining games - this means doing the maths while keeping a close eye on Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.

Fans may be delighted to know it may be sooner than they think. The earliest date the club could secure the title is just five weeks away on April 5 when Liverpool head down to Craven Cottage to play Fulham and Arsenal head up to Goodison Park to play Everton.

Up to that point, Liverpool would need wins at home to Southampton and at the Merseyside derby on April 2, before securing the away win in London. However, in this scenario, Arsenal would need a horrific run of form, not earning points against Man United, Chelsea, Fulham or Everton.

The results would also make Slot's side one of the earliest to secure the title in league history with seven games of the season left to go. For every game Arsenal win the illustrious date would get pushed back a week.

The Gunners also have a game in hand that they will play against Chelsea in March which will seemingly have a huge impact on if they can claw back the title. If they were to succeed in the upset it would mark the biggest comeback in Premier League history overturning a 13-point lead. Although the Gunners currently hold that title too, when they overturned Man United's nine-point lead in the 1997/98 season.

Worryingly for Arsenal fans, the side may have to see their players provide the Reds with a guard of honour in the clash at Anfield on May 10 with three games left to go. It would be Gunner's second time in doing so after they were forced to give the honor at The Emirates when Jurgen Klopp's side sealed the title in 2020.
